A weather advisory is in effect for the Seattle-Tacoma area for Friday, April 7, 2017. Based on the advisory, high winds reaching 40-60 miles per hour will be affecting the area from 1200-1600 PDT. Should conditions deteriorate to this level, it will create safety risks for customers, VPC staff, and transporters. There is a possibility that the SEA VPC will close operations as a result. We are monitoring the situation and will advise on this web site if the decision is made to close the operations for the afternoon. You may also call the VPC directly.
Due to the recent bridge collapse on Interstate 85 north of downtown Atlanta, both north and southbound traffic will be subject to detours for the next several months. Members using Route 85 should consult this link, http://www.511ga.org/ , to review traffic delays and detours caused by the collapse. Detoured traffic is causing congestion and traffic delays in and around the Atlanta Metro Area. Members are advised to plan their routes and arrival/departure times accordingly. The Wiesbaden VPC will be relocating to a new location and will be CLOSED on FRIDAY - 24 MARCH 2017. On 24 February 2017, International Auto Logistics (IAL) was advised that the M/V HONOR, a roll-on roll-off U.S. Flag vessel, had experienced a fire off the coast of England. The vessel is currently underway back to the United States. IAL has emailed all service members with updates of the incident and also sent separate emails to those service members whose vehicles were NOT affected. All unaffected vehicles will be unloaded and processed at their respective ports as the M/V HONOR arrives in the U.S. IAL has provided new RDD’s to each of the service members whose vehicles were unaffected but delayed due to the incident. If you have NOT received an email stating your vehicle was one of the unaffected that means your vehicle requires further inspection and those inspections will occur once the M/V HONOR arrives at the Port of Brunswick o/a 22MAR17. There are no further updates available at this time until those inspections have occurred. Inspections are expected to occur between 22nd and 27th March, 2017. Upon completion of inspections each service member will be contacted and advised of their vehicle's condition. All actions have been and will continue to be coordinated between IAL as the Prime Contractor for the GPC III contract and SDDC HQ / USTC at Scott AFB. The Sigonella VPC will be relocating to a new building on the base and will be CLOSED on FRIDAY - 24 MARCH 2017. The VPC will move from its current location at BLDG 731 to BLDG 724. In observance of Presidents Day, Monday, February 20, 2017, all VPC offices will be closed. Daily operations will resume Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the regular scheduled times.
The Seattle Tacoma Washington area is experiencing heavy snowfall and is currently under a winter storm warning issued by the national weather service. Due to the current road conditions the VPC will be closed on 2/6/2017. The VPC is expecting to be open for normal operations on 2/7/2017.
Internet and telephone services have been restored to the Anchorage VPC. The location is open for business as usual.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Anchorage VPC is experiencing an internet and phone outage. We will continue to monitor and will advise once normal operations resume.
The St. Louis VPC will be closed on Friday, January 13, 2017 due to severe weather. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch and the Missouri DOT has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from Thursday night, January 12, 2017 through Sunday, January 15 for the St. Louis area due to incoming significant amounts of freezing rain, sleet and ice. Due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Atlanta area the Atlanta Mayor and the State Governor have issued an EXECUTIVE ORDER requesting that all traffic be off the roads by 4 PM. In accordance with this order, the Atlanta VPC will be closing operations at 1500 hours today January 6, 2017. The VPC plans to open Monday, January 9, 2017 for regular business hours. The Latest weather report in the Pacific North West is forecasting severe weather with high winds reaching 50-60 miles per hour Thursday afternoon October 13, 2106. The potential event can create safety risks for customers, VPC staff and transporters. There is a possibility that the SEA VPC will close operations as early as 1200 hrs Thursday afternoon Oct. 13 2016. We are monitoring the situation and will advise on this web site if the decision is made to close the operations for the afternoon. You may also call the VPC directly.
Charleston VPC will be open for normal business on Tuesday, 11 October. However, many roads are closed in the local area and parts of I95 remain closed due to Hurricane Matthew. Please factor this into your travel plans.
The Charleston VPC will close at 1200 hrs today October 5, 2016. The evacuation of Charleston, South Carolina and coastal areas is still in effect starting at 1500 hrs today. All major roads will become one way traffic heading away from the coast at that time. At this time it is planned that the Charleston VPC will remained closed until 0800 hrs Tuesday October, 11 2016. Hurricane Matthew Update: State of South Carolina issues evacuation of coastal areas”

The Governor of South Carolina has issued an evacuation of the coastal areas of the state starting tomorrow Wednesday, OCT 5, 2016 at 1500 hrs. At that time the major roadways will all have one way traffic. All lanes will head away from the coast. No coast bound vehicle traffic will be allowed. Hotels and services will become limited or unavailable in the coastal area and for several miles and hours traveled inland. The CHS VPC will open tomorrow at 0800 and we will be evaluating a possible early close time in the late morning and early afternoon. Thursday and Friday operations will be dictated by further developments of the Hurricane. Closings and openings will be posted on this website. Be safe and cautious if traveling in the pathway of this weather.

Tropical Storm Hermine weather in the Charleston area have created unsafe travel conditions for customers and employees. The Locations will close at 1200 hrs today receiving the last customer at 1100 hrs. Charleston is expected to reopen 0800 hrs Tuesday Sept 6 , 2016. The forecasted direction TS Hermine travels up the East Coast Friday Sept 2, 2016 morning and may affect the Charleston VPC Operation with heavy rain, flooding, and high winds. The VPC operation may have a delayed opening or complete closure on this day. This website will post the latest information about the status of the VPC. Honolulu Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) Appointment System for Shipping Privately-Owned Vehicles (POVs) Under the Global POV Contract III

1. This advisory provides all Service Members, DoD Civilian employees, Service Headquarters and PPSOs/PPOs with information necessary for planning the shipment and storage of a POV for customer sutilizing the Honolulu VPC. PPSO/PPOs should ensure members are counseled to establish appointments immediately upon receipt of orders. Requesting Services HQs to encourage Personnel Offices to provide service members with their orders in a timely manner to allow adequate time to make appointments. 2. In an effort to improve overall customer service and curtail lengthy wait times, International Auto Logistics(IAL) will execute an “appointment only” plan to steer the Honolulu Customers to an appointment based process while minimizing the walk-ins at the VPC. The test period for this plan is 16 Feb 2016 to 30 April 2016. During this period, IAL plans to schedule 80% appointments while reserving 20% of the workload for walk-ins to capture emergencies, short notices and other “qualifying”incidents. 3. Customers should plan accordingly and schedule an appointment utilizing the https://www.pcsmypov.com website. Additionally, please review the Required Documentation and Vehicle Condition sections of the web site prior to arriving at the VPC. 4. All questions concerning appointments or turning in POVs should be directed to the following telephone number: 808-670-3095. 5. This is a coordinated SDDC and IAL advisory and is approved for release by Lt Col Todd M. Jensen, Director Personal Property, HQ SDDC.
NEW FACILITY LOCATION OF THE HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AUTO LOGISTICS (IAL) VEHICLE PROCESSING CENTER (VPC)

Effective 21 December 2015 the location of the Honolulu VPC will change to: Honolulu Harbor Pier 1/2, Fort Armstrong Forrest Avenue, Honolulu HI 96813 Privately-owned vehicles (POVs) originally destined to be picked up at the previous Honolulu VPC location must now be picked up at the new facility location. Issue Resolution: Customers should address questions and concerns with the IAL VPC Manager or IAL Customer Service at toll free (855) 389-9499.
Please be advised that the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) issued a recall notice (12V005000) which identifies POVs that are Ford Escape, Model Years 2001 and 2002, as having a potential fire safety hazard. The safety/fire hazard associated with this recall is so dangerous that Ford is advising the owner to not park inside until it is repaired. Based on this recall notice, IAL will not accept these vehicles for shipment/storage without documented proof by the owner that the POV has no open National Highway Traffic Safety Associated (NHTSA) or manufacturer recalls The POV owner must provide IAL with either: i. Documented proof from a certified mechanic/dealership authorized by the manufacturer to perform "Recall Notice" repairs that the recall notice has been completed ii. A printout from the NHTSA sponsored website SAFERCAR https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/ If the service member has any additional questions, they should either contact their nearest Vehicle Processing Center OR send an email to email@example.com

To preclude this and other mandated follow on memos, we strongly encourage you to acknowledge your initial notification as requested, provide the date you plan to pick up your POV, and pick it up as soon as possible.
