If you are shipping a Tesla to Guam, please be advised that there are no authorized Tesla repair facilities on island.
If you are shipping a vehicle to BAHRAIN, please come by our office between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday for a pre-inspection to confirm that your vehicle is admissible for shipment.
If you are shipping to a FOREIGN COUNTRY, please contact our office for further information on country specifications.
If you are storing your POV, please provide the Storage Authorization Letter from Personal Property/Transportation Office.

-IF POV IS UNDER THE SPOUSE'S NAME ONLY, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, DRIVER'S LICENSE AND AND OWNER LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION TO SHIP ARE REQUIRED
-IF THERE ARE ANY ADDITIONAL NAMES ON VEHICLE REGISTRATION AND VEHICLE TITLE/ LIEN AUTHORIZATION A CO-OWNER LETTER OF AUTHORIZATION AND DRIVERS LICENSE ARE REQUIRED.
5.PROOF OF NO OPEN RECALL OR LETTER FROM CAR DEALERSHIP
6.SERVICE MEMBER'S DRIVER'S LICENSE (WITH PICTURE) OR PASSPORT

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS AT TURN-IN:
- DOT (Driver's side door) AND EPA (Under the hood) LABELS MUST BE ON THE VEHICLE. IF THE LABELS ARE MISSING, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE.
- GAS MUST BE 1/4 TANK OR LESS.
- LUG NUT OR GAS CAP KEYS MUST BE LEFT IN VEHICLE.
- EXTERIOR AND ENGINE MUST BE CLEAN. INTERIOR MUST BE THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DRY. (PLEASE CONTACT THE GUAM VPC OFFICE FOR THE CLEANLINESS GUIDELINES).
- NO PERSONAL EFFECTS (PLEASE CONTACT THE GUAM VPC ON ITEMS THAT CAN REMAIN IN THE VEHICLE DURING SHIPMENT).
- ENSURE VEHICLE IS IN SAFE AND OPERATING CONDITIONS. NO LEAKS FROM ANY PART OF THE VEHICLE. EMERGENCY BRAKES AND STANDARD BREAKS SHOULD BE WORKING AT 100%.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE MISSING ANY DOCUMENTS/INFORMATION OR THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MEET ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOUR VEHICLE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR SHIPMENT ON THAT DAY.

SHIPPING YOUR VEHICLE TO GUAM:
DO NOT pack your original vehicle registration/title and proof of insurance letter in your household goods or POV shipment. You must have these original documents in your possession to obtain the temporary operating permit at the Guam DMV and to pick up your vehicle at the Guam VPC.
The Government of Guam applies a four percent (4%) “Use” tax on vehicles purchased and imported by members and owned less than ninety (90) days. Any qualifying vehicles will not be released by Guam Customs until this financial obligation is satisfied by the member.
Ask your TMP/PPO to check the personal property consignment instruction guide (PPCIG) for very important host nation vehicle importation restrictions, safety registration, and insurance requirements.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR E-MAIL FOR VEHICLE AVAILABILITY – YOU WILL RECEIVE AN E-MAIL MESSAGE WHEN YOUR VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP AT DESTINATION.
· IF YOU ARRIVE ON GUAM BEFORE RECEIVING AN AVAILABILITY E-MAIL FROM THE GUAM VPC, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE AT 671-564-8120 TO PROVIDE YOUR UPDATED CONTACT NUMBER(S) AND/OR E-MAIL ADDRESS.
· WHEN VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE, PLEASE PICK-UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS THERE IS LIMITED STAGING SPACE AT THE VPC.
PICK-UP PROCESS:
We hope you understand this is a Government of Guam process requiring members to provide the proper document listed below to clear Customs.
Please read Pick-up Instructions below to avoid any delays in picking up your vehicle.
Service Members and DOD Civilians must proceed to the DMV to obtain a Temporary Operating Permit.
Print copies of the attached Guam Custom Packet in the order that it was received (to include the photocopies stated below) DO NOT PRINT COPIES BACK-TO-BACK. Have it on hand prior to proceeding to the DMV.
- Proceed to the Guam DMV with your registration and proof of insurance. Request for the Temporary Operating Permit which will cost $5.00.

Photocopies of the following will need to be included to complete the Guam Customs packet:
- Temporary Operating Permit from the Department of Motor Vehicle
- Cleared Title or Lien Authorization Letter
- Vehicle Registration
- Proof Of Insurance
- Picture ID
- After completing your visit to the Guam DMV, proceed to the new Guam Customs Cargo location in Tiyan to submit your completed packet. You’ll receive the stamped "PASSED" Bill of Lading in return. Please note: Although the Port Authority can still clear your customs packet, you no longer need to go to the Port—Customs Clearance is now available at their Custom Cargo.
